Junior Golf Academy

Dear Members,

On behalf of the Country Club of the South Instructional Staff at the Golf Learning Center we are proud to present a new and excitiong junior golf program. The Junior Golf Academy will offer more tournaments, play days, clinics, and classroom education programs than any previous year.

Each student will be part of a new junior golf philosophy called DRIVE~Dedication, Responsibility, Integrity, Values, Enjoyment. With these principles, our juniors will be equipped to be better golfers and students in school, and community leaders.

We propose to recruit 15 junior golfers from each group (7-10, 11-13, 14-18).  The students will receive year long instruction with clinics and classroom seminars, tournaments and playdays to help develop their golf game.  The program is designed for the junior golfer who is interested in improving their game in a fun and competitive manner.

Mission statement

The Junior Golf Academy strives to provid the best facility and instruction for kids. We will create fun and exciting programs, competitive tournaments, and educational seminars to help our students grow as golfers and people.

Vision and Goal

The vision of the Country Club of the South's Junior Golf Academy is to create a junior golf experience like no other in the Atlanta area. Our instructors will take a well-rounded approach by teaching golf fundamentals, rules, course management and etiquette.  With these strategies, we hope to have over 75 junior golfers participating in the academy by 2010 and become a self funding program. This will become a standard for other clubs to follow. The success of the junior golf academy will leave lasting impressions for both the golfers and their families.

DRIVE

Dedication
The junior golf academy will consist of clinics, seminars, tournaments, and organized practice. Each junior who participates will receive points as incentive for his or her involvement. The junior golfer witht he most points at the end of the year will be honored as the Country Club of the SouthJunior Academy Golfer of the Year.

Responsibility
Each junior will become more responsible to the community of the Country Club of the South through service, volunteerism, and action. the progaram will consist of course maintenance, golf etiquette, community outreach, and scholastic achievement. No junior should go without notice for his or her work outside of the Golf Learning Center.

Integrity
Golf is a game based on the integrity of those who play it. We compete against the course, not with one another.  Who plays the course the best is declare the winner. Honesty is a must on the course. We must hold ourselves accountable for all actions on the course. This great game teaches our kids the integrity that we hope they will show as adults.

Values 
The Golf Learning Center Expects Success through golf instruciton, golf fitness, club fitting and course management. We also believe in core values like hard work and sporsmanship to help students succeed in golf and life.  What better way to instill proper values in our young golfers  as they grow to become the future of Country Club of the South.

Enjoyment
What better way to enjoy golf than through clinics and play days with the golf insructional staff and the competition among fellow junior golfers. We will keep the academy exciting with games, contests, and awesome prizes for the junior golfers.
